ABSTRACT
This paper aims to show the pastoral recreational activity that Salesians are every Sunday afternoon from 14h30min to 17h00min in the neighborhood of Pedreira called "Salesian Oratory" as preliminary proposal of public policy for leisure and education as a possibility of reducing urban violence. Discussing the concept of public policy as a preceding calculation, chair stock, and to evaluate the actions in view of all the citizens who pay taxes, and want to know about how your money is being invested. The study was conducted considering two important parts of the methodology: the first is reading literature on public policy, education, teens, leisure, and the concept of oratory, the second part tells about the survey data of the frequency of people who participate in activities Oratory in the Sunday afternoon, and collect a sample of the average participant to determine the socioeconomic profile of the attendees of the Oratory of the second half of 2005 and the first half of 2008.
